Synopsis:
The Stand-In revolves around the life of a stand-in of a famous Hollywood star Candy, who has been with her for a long time and also a near look alike. After certain mishaps in the actor’s life she is being sent to a rehab for habit correction. She is not able to digest the fact that she has to go to a rehab and in turn sends her stand in. The stand-in is forced into rehab in her place and as she returns she sees that Candy is in no position to make a comeback in front of the public and hence, they decide that it will be the stand-in who will do all her interviews and public appearances in her place. She in no time starts living her life as Candy herself. Reality kicks in, when Candy is given a new film and she doesn’t if she will be able to do it. Things take an interesting turn as they struggle to keep up with each other’s identity.
