World’s Most Wanted is a True Crime Documentary in a 5 episode Web Series Format which is also multilingual. The basic idea of criminal masterminds giving authorities the slip is compelling enough to watch, but the fact that these are true stories is even more gripping.

Each episode focuses on one of five of World’s Most Wanted. Here’s what you need to know about them.

Ismael “El Moyo” Zambada Garcia
A 72 year old man, Garcia is thought to be the one of the leaders of Sinaloa Cartel, a Mexican drug cartel. It is even believed that he took over as head when the drug kingpin Joaquin Archivaldo Guzman Loera AKA ‘El Chapo’ was arrested and sentenced to life in prison in 2019.

Felicien Kabuga
This 84 year old is said to have financed the Rwanda genocide. The Hutu extremists who killed over 8,00,000 people in the genocide is said to have received the funds from Kabuga over a period of 100 days back in 1994 to carry out the massacre. He was actually caught in France this May, after he successfully lived on the run for over 25 years, as per BBC reports.

Samantha Lewthwaite
This British Woman is on the list because of her personal ties to militant attacks and her former husband Germaine Lindsay, who killed 56 people in the 7/7 London bombing in 2005 by suicide bombing. Nicknamed the “White Widow”, it is now believed she may have orchestrated the 2005 bombings as well as other militant attacks around the world. She is currently in the wind.

Semion Mogilevich
Mogilevich is said to be the head of the Russian Mob AKA Bratva. This has caused him to make the list for World’s Most Wanted. This group has joined and adapted into many countries around the world, playing a giant role in arms dealing and natural gas trade internationally.

Matteo Messina Denaro
Another Mafia boss, Denaro nicknamed Diabolik, is apparently the leader of the Sicilian Mafia and is said to be personally responsible for a number of gruesome murders. Even though most of the Sicilian Mafia have been arrested, the 58 year old has been on the run since the 90s and he is still missing.
