World’s Toughest Race: Eco-Challenge Fiji Adventure Docuseries Is Streaming Online Watch on Amazon Prime Video With English Subtitles, Release Date 14th August 2020. After nearly a 2 decade hiatus, the ‘Eco-Challenge: The Expedition Race’ has returned as a 10 episode docuseries on Amazon. “Man vs. Wild”’s Bear Grylls comes on as host for the 671 km expedition race, which has 66 four-member teams from over 30 countries participating. The race takes place in Fiji over 11 days with 31 checkpoints marking their progress. Teams will also have to collect 5 medallions over the course of the race to win. India and South Asia have their first ever team representation, since the origin of the race in 1995, in the form of the Dehradun team ‘Team Khurkuri’. The team is led by the ‘Everest Twins’, Tashi and Nungshi Malik who were the first female siblings and twins to reach the Everest Summit. Their team also consists of mountain climbing expert Brandon Fisher from USA and skiing and rafting expert Parveen Singh Rangar. The race is will test the mental and physical strength of teams as they are made to cover various harsh and unforgiving terrain each day. The expedition will take teams from the vast ocean through dense jungles to treacherous rivers. The expedition has a rule of ‘Leave no team member behind’, so if any person becomes unable to compete during the race, the entire team gets eliminated as well.
