How Hard Will The Sabarmati Report Hit Kanguva

Kanguva, which was supposed to be released on 10th October, has now been postponed and the final release date was announced today to be 14th November. This delay was done to avoid competition with Rajinikanth starrer Vettaiyan. But now, the movie is about to face another clash on the day in the form of The Sabarmati Report.

The Sabarmati Report is a film directed by Dheeraj Sarna and stars Vikrant Massey in the leading role along with Raashii Khanna and Ridhi Dogra. It will revolve around the event of burning of the Sabarmati Express train during the 2002 riots in Gujarat. The film has been delayed several times facing issues from the censor board. It was primarily supposed to be released in May, but as per speculations, it was stalled then due to elections.

This film, due to the issue it addresses, the controversy around it which creates a buzz and finally due to the lead actor Vikrant Massey, who has been giving quite good films recently, the film expects quite a good reception from the audiences. Considering the fact that Kanguva will now release on 14th November, it is a big budget film that will look forward to a good reception from the audience, not only from the Southern regions, but also from the Northern areas as well. This will lead to a good clash between both the films.

Kanguva’s ambitious aim to dominate the theatres all over India can be obstructed by the release of The Sabarmati Report. The film is a highly anticipated one and is expected to make a decent opening in the box office. This will significantly impact the collections of Kanguva in the North. The former will have the advantage of being an originally made Hindi film. Also, people may choose to watch this film as it has a very relevant topic as its theme.

Vikrant Massey will also have an effect on the audience as he has been quite successful in several of his last projects. 12th Fail was a huge success, and recently Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba and Sector 36 too have been successes. As all of these movies were directly released digitally, the fans of Vikrant will be looking forward to the release of his next theatrical film to watch him on the silver screen. He will definitely have the power to lure in audiences towards the film.

Hence, it will be interesting to see if Kanguva will be able to show its dominance in Northern states in the presence of The Sabarmati Report which will have an edge over it.
