The official trailer of an upcoming Tamil movie has been announced by its crew on their YouTube channel. How can it cater to the expectations of the audience and fans? Why is it relevant in today’s context?
‘Amaran’ (Eng. An Immortal Man) is expected to be a biographical action war film directed by Rajkumar Periasamy and produced by Raaj Kamal Films International, together with Vivek Krishnani for Sony Pictures Films India.
Stephen Ritcher along with the director wrote the screenplay and dialogues for the effort based on the book named India’s Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military written by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh which became a bestseller.
The movie will tell the story of Late Major Mukund Varadarajan, an Indian Army officer in the Rajput Regiment of the 2006 batch. The storyline will be a compelling biographical picture along with a character-driven narrative.
Furthermore, the aim of presenting such a movie is attempting to speak based on inspiration from what the Late General Sam Manekshaw once said to Ex-Prime minister Indira Gandhi, “Our people should speak and understand the goodwill of the soldiers who sacrificed and are ready to do so for the nation. Also, we should be ready to fight for them.”
On the contrary, the storytelling is expected to focus more on the love life of the main character and it might blend with an important war event that has similarities in acclaimed movies like ‘Shershah’ and ‘Sita Ramam’ which can be a challenge.
Technical labour includes the handling of cinematography by C H Sai, editing overseen by R Kalaivanan, and music as well as the background scores composed by G V Prakash Kumar respectively.
Actors Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi will be playing the main leads joined by an ensemble cast of Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, Lallu, Shreekumar Ganesh, and Shyam Mohan in important roles.
The satellite rights are acquired by Star Vijay and Netflix bags digital rights. The movie is expected to hit big screens on the 31st of this month and stay tuned in Binged for more updates regarding ‘Amaran’.
