The Kollywood industry shifted their focus from regional stories to now pan India movies, before this major shift the industry and the movies belonging to the industry used to be more of a tight knitted cultural fest, but now with time the industries from south India are flourishing a lot.
However, with the massive success of “Bahubali”, “KGF”, “Pushpa” and many more, the face of the industry has been redefined.
The major reason behind this new wave, is the growing interest of the Indian audience to watch movies beyond their own region and culture, thus embracing the multi-cultural aspect of India.
South Indian movie makers scored good in this field by making more movies which are universally accepted, mainly focusing on larger than life action sequences or epic stories.
The Pan India appeal is also derived from this grand scheme of acceptance.
In 2024 many more movies are about to be released like “Bloody Beggar”, “Brother” etc.
