Just a couple of days ago we saw Chiyaan Vikram’s ‘Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2’ teaser and today we have the announcement of his next film.
The yet to be titled film will be Vikram’s 63rd film in lead role, hence #Chiyaan63, and it is Arun Viswa’s production house Shanthi Talkies’ Production No. 3. It will be helmed by ‘Mandela’ fame Madonne Ashwin.
Ashwin is a three time National Award winning filmmaker and this will be his second association with Shanthi Talkies after ‘Maaveeran’.
As for Vikram, his last film ‘Thangalaan’ was a box office failure despite praises for it’s storyline, action and most importantly his performance in it. Vikram had undergone a massive transformation for ‘Thangalaan’ and it was unfortunate that the film could not be successful commercially.
Vikram’s other upcoming projects include Gautham Vasudev Menon’s ‘Dhruva Natchathiram: Chapter One- Yuddha Kaandam’ and previously mentioned ‘Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2’.
