It is getting enough. Indian audiences have been fooled again and again. Still, the directors promise an extended OTT version. Some promised a few minutes but Vetrimaaran promised a solid extra one hour for his latest venture in Viduthalai Part 2. You see, directors have been making this claim of extended OTT versions.
They said it during Jawan, The Greatest Of All Time and so many other films. Sadly, we hardly get any such thing in reality. The directors are well aware that Indian OTT platforms don’t want any problems for themselves and thus they would not show scenes that has not been approved by CBFC.
Because it may contain scenes that can cause problems for the platform. Thus, a lot of time it is the fault of OTT platforms when they are totally unable to stream a second extra of what has gone to the big screens.
But directors perhaps to create buzz make such kind of over the top promises. When the reality is, they know that it is impossible to do so.
But anything for marketing…
Anyway, the usual 2 Hours and 37 minutes are streaming on the Prime Video Store. We are pretty sure that even when Viduthalai Part 2 is regularly streaming, it won’t have an extra hour.
