Not only has this been observed in a couple upcoming Hindi-language titles, but this unfortunate trend can also be seen spreading into other counterparts of the Indian film industry. Case in point: the Tamil film industry. This is especially disappointing because the South Indian film industry, for all of its constituents, is almost always about the hype.
In fact, it is one of the many things that the industry is renowned worldwide for. However, take for example the case of ‘Miss You’, the upcoming Tamil-language romantic drama starring superstar Siddharth opposite Ashika Ranganath which is slated for a November 29 release.
Apart from having the trailer launched, there is virtually no online hype regarding the film. If anything, considering that Siddharth’s last project before ‘Miss You’, ‘Indian 2’ was a huge blunder, this should definitely not be the case. Moreover, with the correct promotion, even fans who were left disappointed previously, can be appealed to.
That being said, with nearly a week left for the film’s theatrical release, one can only hope that this project is able to match the benchmark set by his other titles like ‘Chittha’!
