After Theatrical Mediocrity, Can OTT Save Kadaisi Ulaga Por

Going out of the box is a good thing, only If you can execute it well enough, but it seems like Hiphop Tamizha Adhi’s ‘Kadaisi Ulaga Por’ couldn’t deliver what they thought they would.

Although, it was a very good take by the tamil industry to provide a dystopian story to the viewers with a fresh narrative with good VFX and everything, but the plot holes made it less charming.

The film has a lot of things happening in the same scenario, where if we notice keenly we’ll see that they wanted to provide everything to every audience who wanted to see it in the theatres, which led this movie to be a very mediocre one.

The movie revolves around a political backdrop, where economic sanctions have been imposed on countries including India, while the country has not joined the coalition initiated by China to replace the UN.

To fight against it, raids are taking place in India at the same time, the chaos caused by the impending Third World War is still on.

Now the question is, after its mediocre success at the box office will the OTT platform save it?

It looks like it has become a trend that movies which don’t gather a mass audience in theatres are succeeding in OTT platforms for its vast viewership.

While the aspects of this movie has something going on with the political reforms, romantic aspects and the comedic reliefs in betweens, it has the potential to succeed in the OTT platform.

The film features Aadhi alongside Nassar, Natarajan Subramaniam, Anagha, N. Azhagam Perumal, Harish Uthaman, Munishkanth, Singampuli, Kalyan Master, Elango Kumaravel, Thalaivaasal Vijay and Mahanadi Shankar among others.

It is set to stream Prime Video on October 18.

Now let’s see whether they can turn the tables or not.
