Pain Of Netflix India In Streaming Nayanthara: Beyond A Fairy Tale

The world seems to be against Nayanthara. Her woes do not seem to end at all. Firstly, it took so much time for her documentary to be released. After nearly two years, anyone would not have the same interest as before. Anyway, it got released somehow on November 18th last year.

It was met with average to bad reviews. The documentary was not something that would stay with you and people could sense that very very well.

But the real drama begins after that. Dhanush sends her a legal notice worth ₹10 crores due to not taking permission before using the clip of his film.

There was this online drama with Nayanthara writing an open letter on X.

We all assumed that such a high-octane drama would give some kind of relief in views as controversial films/series tend to get more attention. We were met with disappointment even then. Nobody wanted to watch the documentary.

Now when finally things started looking stable, there was another drama.

Makers of Chandramukhi have sued Nayanthara for the unauthorised usage of the clip. This notice amounts to ₹5 crore.

We wish all the strength to Nayanthara for these long legal cases. But, think about Netflix India.

It bought a celebrity documentary, it got a lot of controversial buzz but still, there are no views.

How tragic!

That’s why we say, Netflix India must go back to their strength and make real documentaries based on real stories of India just like they did in 2023.
