Biker OTT Release: Sharwanand Film To Arrive On This Platform

Sharwanand’s latest sports drama, Biker, which sped into theatres earlier this month, has officially locked in its digital (OTT) premiere. Alongside the leading man, the cast is rounded out by Rajasekhar, Atul Kulkarni, and Malavika Nair.

Directed by Abhilash Reddy Kankara (known for Loser), Biker is India’s first mainstream film centred on the sport of motocross racing. The story follows Vikas Narayan (played by Sharwanand), a determined racer striving to make his mark in the high-stakes world of competitive biking.

However, the film is more than just a sports flick; it’s a deep dive into a complex father-son relationship. Senior actor Rajasekhar delivers a powerful performance as “Bullet” Sunil Narayan, a father whose rigid expectations and past pride create significant friction with his son.

The movie offers plenty of high-octane action sequences that feel authentic and technically polished. This emotional core, anchored by the tense dynamic between Sharwanand and Rajasekhar, adds a strong layer of depth to the narrative.

That said, the story occasionally falls into predictable tropes common to the genre, making certain plot beats feel familiar. While the racing visuals are stunning, viewers seeking a purely action-focused experience might find that the heavy emphasis on family drama slightly slows the overall pacing.

Despite the initial hype, Biker emerged as an average grosser at the box office. However, it now has a second chance to find a wider audience via its digital debut. Streaming giant Netflix has secured the rights, and the film is set to premiere on May 1, 2026.

To reach a pan-Indian audience, the movie will be available in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. Interestingly, the Hindi dubbed version will be released under the title Sharwa, a nod to the lead actor’s popular moniker. Stay tuned for more updates.
