Devara is one of the most successful films of the year for the Telugu film industry. It attempted to be a pan India film through the inclusion of names like Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor or even Anirudhh for that matter.
But the film failed to show any mark in any region outside Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. However, in these two states, the film is a massive hit with a lot of people still swarming the big screens.
But gone are those days when movies used to run for 25 weeks. If today’s movies cross 28 days with a good collection then it becomes a milestone.
So, Devara is about to complete about 20 days on the big screens and the talks about the OTT release are already going on.
According to the reports, the movie can drop on OTT sometime in the first week of November, more precisely the 8th of November.
But given the performance of the film in the two Telugu-speaking states, it may very well push itself to the 15th of November.
And it will be a good step as the producers will recover at least something which they could have made from the Hindi-speaking states.
