Prime Video’s ‘Spider-Noir’ live-action series, based on Spider-Man Noir, is now filming. Veteran actor Nicolas Cage is heading to the small screen as the show’s leading man. First images from the set, featuring Cage as the washed-up superhero from the 1930s, are spreading like wildfire on social media. Don’t worry! We’ve gathered some of them for you!
The following set photos show Cage filming a scene as the titular crime fighter, with visible signs of aging. We don’t know the details of this particular shot, but we do know that the series’ plot follows Cage’s character, an aging private investigator during the 1930s, who also happens to be his city’s only superhero and crime fighter.
Brendan Gleeson, of Harry Potter fame and recently seen in Joker: Folie à Deux, is portraying the series’ main villain. Alongside Cage and Gleeson, Lamorne Morris will be playing Robbie Robertson, a prominent journalist from the Spider-Man comics. The rest of the cast includes Lukas Haas, Li Jun Li, Jack Huston, Cary Christopher, Cameron Britton, Amanda Schull, and Michael Kostroff.
The duo of Steve Lightfoot and Oren Uziel created the Spider-Noir series, and they are also serving as co-showrunners.
Spider-Noir has yet to receive a fixed release window. The show will first premiere on MGM+ before arriving on Prime Video. Stay tuned for more updates.
