Paramount+ Announces ‘Apartment 7A’: Prequel To Horror Cult Classic!

The horror genre continues to reign over the film and television industry this year. So far, 2024 has witnessed the release of acclaimed titles like ‘The First Omen’, ‘Immaculate’, ‘Abigail’, and more!

Next in line is the prequel to the 1968 cult classic Rosemary’s Baby’. Roman Polanski’s original horror thriller, produced by Paramount, starred Mia Farrow and John Cassavetes as a young couple trying to start a family but eventually finding themselves being tormented by strange neighbors.

The prequel ‘Apartment 7A’, has the Emmy-award-winning American actress Julia Garner at its crux. Directed by Natalie Erika James, the psychologically thrilling feature will premiere exclusively on Paramount+ as a Halloween treat for fans!

Set in New York City in 1965, the film narrates the story preceding ‘Rosemary’s Baby’ as it explores what happened in the apartment before Rosemary moved in. When a struggling, young dancer suffers a devastating injury, she finds herself drawn in by dark forces when a peculiar, well-connected, older couple promises her a solitary shot at fame.

The ensemble cast also includes Dianne Wiest, Jim Sturgess, and Kevin McNally. Lead actress Garner is most famous for her role as Ruth Langmore in Netflix’s critically acclaimed crime drama series ‘Ozark’.
