Yash Raj Films’ spy universe got a burst of new energy as it launched ‘Alpha’ its first female led spy universe film a while ago. Not keeping the fans wait for long, YRF has now locked a release date for ‘Alpha’ that is helmed by ‘The Railway Men’ fame Shiv Rawail and is currently filming.
‘Alpha’ is led by Alia Bhatt, whose ’Jigra’ all set set to release this month and the rising young star Sharvari who has had a fantastic 2024 and impressed everyone with her performances in films like ‘Munjya’, ‘Vedaa’, and ‘Maharaj’.
YRF’s spy universe is one of the most commercially successful franchise in Indian cinema and has delivered back to back blockbusters.
Produced by Aditya Chopra, ‘Alpha’ is the seventh instalment of YRF’s spy universe following ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, ‘War’, ‘Pathaan’, ‘Tiger 3’, and the upcoming Ayan Mukherji led and Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘War 2’ that is set to release next year on 15th August. Other upcoming film’s from the universe are ‘Pathaan 2’ and ‘Tiger Vs Pathaan’, official announcements on which are awaited.
‘Alpha’ will release in cinemas on 25th December, 2025.
