Joseph project was reportedly going to have Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt as the leads. But now it seems the movie has been shelved.
Basil Joseph is avoiding all questions regarding the project in his interviews. In a recent one, Basil Joseph tried to dodge the questions about the big Bollywood project with Alia Bhatt. Mukesh Khanna, who played and produced Shaktimaan, has confirmed that he will be coming back with a new Shaktimaan movie soon and he will play the role himself. The actor’s comments and views on various things have stricken controversies multiple times and fans think it will not at all be suitable for the popular character.
Basil Joseph’s Shaktimaan could have done too many things. The collaboration between the Hindi and Malayalam industries could pave the way for new opportunities in both places. The way actors, directors and composers have been collaborating in Bollywood, Tollywood and Kollywood, it is not the same for the Malayalam industry. Basil Joseph’s movie could have done something with the lack of good superhero films in Hindi and also possibly create a cinematic universe, which is the trend of the time. But there is no chance of that happening now, and people do not have any trust on Mukesh Khanna’s project as well.
