Suriya’s Kanguva was seen as a promising Pan-Indian film that might change the landscape of ongoing Diwali releases. Diwali saw Singham Again and BB3 battling it out until Kartik Aaryan’s Horror comedy turned out to be the true winner of the clash.
Two weeks after the hyped clash, Kanguva approached theatres with a ray of hope but turned out to be a disaster. This in turn gave BB3 another positive weekend and by the looks of it, the film might have a successful third weekend as well.
At the time of writing, Kanguva and BB3 have similar booking sales per hour on BookMyShow despite being released within two weeks.
With over 6k tickets under their names per hour, it shows how strong Kartik Aaryan’s starter is in its third weekend. On the other, Singham Again currently generates over 4k tickets per hour on BMS.
This clearly shows how well Kartik’s film is performing at the Box office and despite heavy competition, it is not showing any signs of slowing down. With a countrywide collection of over 239 crores, the film aims to touch the 250 crore mark at the Indian Box office and this weekend might be the perfect setting for this ultimate milestone.
