The National Cinema Day was celebrated today on 20th September in India. The festival came with a number of theatrical film releases but only one film was directly released digitally today. Jio Cinema came up with Jo Tera Hai Wo Mera Hai, which stars some of the most talented people in the industry. The film is a comedy about a man who wishes to buy a bungalow and amidst it is filled with the responsibilities of his family.
The film stars Amit Sial in the leading role. Along with him, we see Paresh Rawal, Sonali Kulkarni, Sonali Seygall, Faisal Malik etc. in the film as well. Most of these actors are highly talented but underappreciated people of the industry. This made the movie more intriguing to watch. The film follows the life of Mitesh (Amit Sial) who tries to fulfill his responsibilities towards his family even by unfair means, in the meanwhile he longs to buy a bungalow which has been his dream house for years. What follows is his struggle to upkeep between these two acts while also keeping his mistress (Sonali Seygall) happy.
People who watched the film were mainly there for the cast. The talented cast promised the movie to be quite good, otherwise the trailer or the pre-release news for the movie hadn’t been impressive. Many of the people who watched the film complained about the bad script and story. The film, supposed to be funny, had many of its jokes quite lame and unfunny. The story was something that could not impress the audience and felt boring.
What was positive about the movie was, of course, the cast. Paresh Rawal, as usual, did a great job. The supporting actors too did very convincing roles, although the bad script failed to properly establish the characters. Most of the people though are praising Amit Sial for his character. It was the first time Amit was playing as the lead and he did a great job in it.
People are also calling the film to be a “copy” of several previous films. The names keep changing from Duplex to Narbachi Waadi. People also are saying many of the dialogues in the movie too have been copied. That is just a speculation though.
Overall, the film failed to impress the audience and fails big time. Audience though is impressed by Amit’s role and people look forward to him playing more lead roles ahead.
