Anubhav Mohanty starrer Karma is soon to be released on 9th of October. The film marks the time when Odia film industry is thriving due to a gap in the release of National films in between. Several Odia films are scheduled in this time and Karma is one of the most important among them.
The film will be released on 9th October when there will be no big film to take up the spaces in theatres in Odisha. The film has also been accepted to be screened by PVR-INOX which will mean it will have more shows, resulting in a better earning potential. Vattaiyan, which will release the next day will impact the whole country, but if Karma turns out to be a good film, looking at the current scenario, it won’t be able to grab the Odia audience.
The film boasts a great cast which includes Anubhav in the lead role and along with him Suryamayee Mohapatra, Divya Disha Mohanty and Manmay Dey appear in the film. The film focuses on a special investigation officer who investigates a mysterious murder. The plot follows a lot of revelations, twists and mysteries that unfold.
The characters of the film look very lively and the film in itself looks very promising. The theatrical trailer for the film was released a few days ago and it shows Anubhav playing his role impressively. The plot is shrouded in mystery and the film moves away from stereotypical Anubhav films with minimal action. The trailer had English subtitles by the makers themselves which is a rare thing in Odia films. This can indicate the film might go for a national release as well. If it happens, the film is sure to break several records of the Ollywood industry.
Concludingly, with National theatres on board, which is a rare thing for Odia cinema, the film is sure to benefit a lot. With its unique story and intriguing plot, the movie can prove to be a National entertainer. If this happens, we will get another banger from the Odia industry prior to the release of Parab (which will be released later this year).
