Despite the fact that it’s been over a month since it’s initial release, the entirety of social media still continues to groove to the catchy tunes from Amar Kaushik’s highly anticipated sequel to his 2018 horror-comedy title ‘Stree’, ‘Stree 2: Sarkate ka Aatank’. The film for all of its components: acting, cinematography, discography, has won the hearts of millions of viewers across the country.
While the slate of highest-grosser Hindi films of all time is somewhat of an all-boys club, consisting of titles like ‘Jawaan’, ‘Pathaan’, ‘Animal’, and more. However, in what can only be termed as an iconic move, ‘Stree 2’ has surpassed even the Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Jawaan’ to solidify itself as the highest grossing Hindi film at the box office!
This comes following the largely consistent crowds that the Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana starrer continues to draw into theatres. The feature has amassed a whopping total of Rs 585.85 Crores throughout its ongoing theatrical run.
Not only has ‘Stree 2’ broken records, but it is also en route to entering the coveted 600 Crore club. Considering the momentum with which the film is moving ahead, that milestone doesn’t seem all that far away!
