August was all about Stree 2 bringing a flood of money into the industry. September was all about the re-release of Tumbbad and the continuation of Stree 2 wave. So, September was also good in terms of Box Office numbers. But, what about October?
The festival season has finally begun and there are back-to-back festivals in India now. Starting with Durga Puja to Deepavali and more.
So, what’s the content slate of Bollywood? Umm, October is very very dull. The industry has only two Sohni films to offer and both of them are getting released on the same day. We are talking about “Jigra” and “Vicky Vidya Ka Wo Wala Video ”.
It is such a badly placed month that things look bleak for the industry. Vettaiyan is getting released down south the same day. Jigra has the maximum potential to impress the audience because it has a really promising director coupled with good promotion and plans to get a wide release in the Telugu region.
The situation is not very good for Bollywood and the industry itself is highly responsible for it. They need big time changes in not only content but also in the strategies they use along with the way people perceive them.
Let’s see how accepting people are towards Jigra and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video.
