Inspired by real events, ‘Superboys Of Malegaon’ is a heartwarming tale based on the life of an amateur filmmaker Nasir Sheikh from Malegaon, a small town in Maharashtra where cinema is there best way to escape from the daily monotony.
Nasir gets inspired to make a film for the people of Malegaon, by the people of Malegaon, and he bands together his ragtag group of friends to bring his vision to life, thereby bringing a fresh lease of life into the town. When passion and friendship come together, what unravels is a poignant tale of resilience that captures the essence of human relationships and the transformative power of filmmaking.
‘Superboys Of Malegaon’ has been a hit at various international film festival circuits including Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), the 68th BFI London Film Festival, Palm Springs International Film Festival and Red Sea International Film Festival. And now the film is set to impress the movie going audience as it lands in cinemas on 28th February, 2025.
Directed by Reema Kangti and written by Varun Grover, ‘Superboys Of Malegaon’ stars an ensemble cast of Adarsh Gourav, Vineet Kumar Singh, Shashank Arora and Anuj Singh Duhan in the lead roles.
