Saif Ali Khan is set to return to the screen with Kartavya, an upcoming investigative drama that will premiere on Netflix India in May 2026. While the exact release date has not been announced yet, the film is already one of the most talked-about titles in Netflix India’s upcoming lineup.
Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, the banner owned by Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, Kartavya stars Saif as police officer Pawan Malik. The story follows him as he struggles to balance his duty as a cop with the safety of his family when dangerous threats begin to close in around him.
The film is directed by Pulkit, who earlier directed Bhakshak for Netflix and Red Chillies Entertainment. Rasika Dugal and Sanjay Mishra play key roles in the film. Journalist Saurabh Dwivedi will also make his acting debut with Kartavya.
Netflix announced the film at its Next on Netflix India event with the teaser line, “Dharm aur karm ke yuddh mein, kya kartavya jeet payega?” The film will stream exclusively on Netflix India this May, with the official release date expected to be revealed soon.
