The much anticipated trailer of “Singham Again”, was released yesterday with the whole cop verse, which has a parallel to the story of Ramayana.
But among this whole excitement, there is a part where people are calling Deepika Padukone’s entry and her performance in the trailer cringe worthy.
Now we have to understand that all the other characters were already a part of the cop verse so there was a need for a woman to be “Lady Singham”.
Furthermore in an action movie, we can’t expect Deepika to be “Minnama”, she had to blend in with the characters.
Some people are pointing out that Deepika mimicked Ranveer Singh’s performance in Simba.
But, we have to keep it in mind that Deepika Padukone is a very versatile actress, and here Rohit Shetty chose to put her in a stereotypical character.
Although in the trailer we got only some glimpse of Deepika’s acting, we should not judge her performance in the movie based on the trailer.
With Ajay Devgan, Akshaye Kumar, Tiger and Jacky Shroff, Ranveer Singh, Kareen Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor in the movie, isn’t it too early to criticise her performance?
We haven’t got any stand alone movie by her just like the others did, so if you are expecting that she will do “Mohe Rang Do Laal” in the movie then surely you are making a big mistake.
Her character demands some sarcasm so that it flows smoothly with the movie.
To see whether she delivered something cringe worthy or a fantastic performance will be decided on 1st November, because Singham is back again.
