The month of November will see a lot of big releases in its second half. Bollywood though seems to be relatively quiet in the month, still, The Sabarmati Report starring Vikrant Massey will be released on November 15th which will also star Rashi Khanna and Ridhi Dogra.
Prior to the film’s release, on 14th November, another big film will be released. Kanguva starring Suriya and Bobby Deol will be released pan-India which is supposed to dominate the box office. The film is primarily being made in Tamil but will also be released in Telugu and Hindi. The director of the film Siva claimed the film will register a record-breaking collection of 2000 crores in the box office.
Even if the figure is exaggerated, the film still is supposed to go big. The film makes use of period drama which has been the highest grossing genre for a few years. The film will be a big obstacle for the films releasing in the time. The film is filled with action and takes us 1500 years back in its narrative. Apart from the two stars, the film also stars talented people like Disha Patani, Natrajan Subramanium, Karthi and Jagpathi Babu.
The Sabarmati Report is set upon a very significant event of Indian history- the 2002 Godhra riots. Vikrant Massey has been quite successful in his recent projects and lately his Sector 36 and 12th Fail have seen great response from the audience. He will be looking forward to this upcoming film to be successful as well.
But Kanguva’s release in Hindi will make it difficult for the film to at least reach its full potential. Kanguva will be the obvious choice of the people to watch in theatres as it is more spectacular and graphic which becomes more interesting to watch. The Sabarmati Report will have to be immensely good in order to outshine the effect made by Kanguva.
