Vivek Agnihotri has unveiled the poster and release date for his upcoming film ‘The Delhi Files: The Bengal Chapter’. This will be the first of two parts of ‘The Delhi Files’ and has fixed 15th August, 2025 as its release date.
The poster released today features the national emblem that is the Lion Capital of Ashoka in red with a child’s silhouette in black in the middle of it. The tagline of ‘Right To Life’ indicates the film’s general theme.
‘The Delhi Files’ was to made a sa single film but according to the makers the story is too powerful for one part and hence will release in two parts with the first being ‘The Bengal Chapter’. It is touted to be made after years of research and unveils a significant chapter of the nation’s history.
‘The Delhi Files: The Bengal Chapter’ is produced by Abhishek Agarwal via his Abhishek Agarwal Arts banner and Pallavi Joshi via her I Am Buddha banner.
Vivek Agnihotri is a well known filmmaker but he found a new kind of fame after the blockbuster success of his film ‘The Kashmir Files’. The films was conversation starter and had its own mix of reaction from the viewers and the critics. It was one of those films which you may either like or you may not but you definitely couldn’t ignore.
Following that Agnihotri came up with ‘The Vaccine War’ which could not get a similar kind of attention and was also a box office bomb.
Now with ‘The Delhi Files’, his hopes are very high as he undertook extensive research for the film reading numerous papers, books and other material. Will he cause the same kind of stir with ‘The Delhi Files’ as he did with ‘The Kashmir Files’. Well we’ll get to know that when The Bengal Chapter comes out on 15th August next year.
Vivek Agnihotri has a number of promising projects lined up and that includes his collaboration with ‘Pushpa’ filmmaker Sukumar and ‘Parva: An Epic Tale of Dharma’, an adaptation of the best selling novel ‘Parva’, a modern classic written by Padma Bhushan and Sahitya Kala Puruskar awardee Dr. S. L. Bhyrappa.
