From Blues and Rock, to Theatre and Folk, ‘सबCultures’ discovers six iconic festivals across India that nurture, preserve, and celebrate the country’s future rich art and music in its purest form.
These festivals include iRock, Kabira, META, Sanatkada, Percussion and Blues. In iRock, a rock revolution strikes in India and die hard fans and misunderstood musicians battle establishment forces. It will make you witness the power of music defying censorship and uniting generations.
Coming to Kabira, it takes places in the streets of Varanasi where a festival bursts to life, blending Kabir’s wisdom with music that transcends time. It’s a journey where every note reveals the secrets of existence.
Then comes META where you step into the magic, chaos and drama of theatre. From backstage mayhem to show stopping performances, this explores untold stories, risks and rivalries that unfold beyond the stage.
Next up is Sanatkada in Lucknow where remarkabale women revive fading handicrafts and forgotten stories, empowering artisans and powering bonds. It will help you discover ‘Lucknowiyat’ where heritage and dreams intertwine.
Percussion is next in line where one can feel the beat like never before. From hidden percussion masters to jaw-dropping rhythms, the series lets you experience India’s biggest percussion platfrom, where tradition meets modern vibes.
And lastly you get to experience the heart of Bkues in Bombay. Discover its history, meet top musicians, and see how a cultural phenomenon became a thriving moment.
