Some films miss you in theatres. Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos feels like one of those films.
With Vir Das at the center, the film follows a man who clearly is not built to be a spy but somehow ends up in the middle of a mission. The humor is odd, just like Delhi Bellu\y. It is the kind of comedy that either clicks with you or completely passes you by.
There is also the presence of Aamir Khan, who backed the film and shows up briefly. That added curiosity when it released earlier this year, but it did not turn things around at the box office. Again, it was an attempt to revive the magic of Delhi Belly but many people simply skipped it.
And that is usually how these stories go.
But the movie is finally coming to OTT and looking at the patterns, people prefer watching these movies on OTT only these days.
Maybe that is exactly what this film needed.
Because Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos is arriving on Netflix India on April 1, waiting to be discovered again.
