Makers of Ajay Devgn’s much awaited ‘Raid 2’ have had a change of thought and the film will not be coming out on the previously declared 21st February, 2025. The release date has now been pushed to Labour Day, i.e., 1st May, 2025.
There has been no update about the reason for this delay which probably might be due to technical issues or the likes of it. Interestingly, this new release date is the same as the release date for Ajay’s other upcoming film ‘De De Pyaar De 2’ which is now highly likely to get a new release date as well.
Devgn is set to return as IRS Amay Patnaik in ‘Raid 2’ and once again be directed by Raj Kumar Gupta who helmed the first part as well. The film also stars Riteish Deshmukh as the antagonist and Vaani Kapoor as the female lead. Rajat Kapoor too features in a pivotal role.
‘Raid’ (2018) was successful both critically and commercially and the hopes are high for ‘Raid 2’ which promises a thrilling investigative crime drama that will keep you hooked throughout and will bring back the action, intensity and suspense.
Ajay Devgn’s most recent outing ‘Singham Again’ proved to be a blockbuster after two box office duds, ‘Maidaan’ and ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’. His other upcoming projects include ‘Azaad’, ‘De De Pyaar De 2’ and ‘Son of Sardar 2’.
Produced by Bhushan Lumar and Krishan Kumar for T-Series and Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak for Panorama Studios, ‘Raid 2’ will release in theatres on 1st May, 2025.
