Adult Rom-coms haven’t been given much attention in Indian Cinema and it can be seen over the years. Though the subject has a lot of potential and can produce an instant classic if executed correctly, there are not many over-the-top rom-coms in recent memory. Well, Khwaabon ka Jhamela surely challenges the adult rom-coms and aims to deliver a laughter ride with a stellar cast.
Danish Aslam’s love comedy Khwaabon Ka Jhamela, which will be available for JioCinema streaming, features provocative themes. Prateik Babbar, Sayani Gupta, and Kubbra Sait play the main characters in this film, which centers on a young guy adjusting to life following a breakup.
The plot of Khwaabon Ka Jhamela, which was filmed in India and the UK, centers on Zubin, a man who excels at math but lacks passion, and who is rejected when his fiancée, Shehnaz, declines his proposal because of his indiscretions in the bedroom. He meets Ruby, a lively intimacy coordinator, in search of comfort, and the two of them make an odd agreement that starts a funny voyage of self-improvement and the potential for love.
The film’s trailer was released recently and it is on point with its raw and natural themes alongside great shots of humor and intimacy between the pair. The humorous and frequently uncomfortable realities of contemporary relationships are explored in depth in the movie.
While the concept looks cool and has potential, it is releasing direct on OTT platform which would surely impact the film’s overall growth. This shows how films with great potential can be ruined by having a conserved release on the OTT.
Despite not being theatrically released, fans must surely have a go at this new and fresh concept of love starring Prateik Babbar and Sayani Gupta. Lock your dates as the film is set for a digital release on November 8th only on JioCinema.
