Netflix intended to make things a little creepy with its newest addition in Ananya Pandey CTRL. It shows how the online world can sometimes harm humans instead of making things easier for them. The overall reviews for the psychological thriller are decent and audience liked the concept which showcased something new.
While there are numerous thrillers to watch on the platform, Netflix has paved the way for a new thriller documentary featuring one of the biggest Catfishes in history.
Sweet Bobby tells the narrative of Kirat Assi, a woman from London who developed a close acquaintance with Bobby, a man she met on Facebook, and their tragic relationship.
The story is inspired by the 2021 podcast of the same name. The issue was that something would always come up when they attempted to meet up in person.
The documentary takes the viewers through several images and recordings of the conversation between Assi and the catfisher Bobby. It tells the tale of our virtual selves and how social media may be used as a weapon to inflict harm and compulsion.
After a splendid response for CTRL, Netflix aims to make another big move with Sweet Bobby : My Catfish Nightmare which starts streaming from 16th October.
