Russo Brothers need no introduction. They are the absolute titans of the commercial cinem space who gave us films like Avengers Endgame and Avengers Infinity War.
No doubt about the fact that they remain one of the biggest cinema events in history. But, what about their projects after Avengers?
Be it Extraction, The Gray Man or even Citadel. They might have earned views but the overall reception remains something that the Russo Bros would never be proud of.
Citadel was promoted with a lot of noise and the buzz was quite high even in India due to Priyanka Chopra. Somehow things didn’t fit well and the series was torn apart by the critics.
But Citadel is a huge project. It is being developed in not only in the USA but also Italy, India and Mexico at the same time.
The Italian version called Citadel Diana is a very recent release and it got a decent response.
But now is the time for Citadel Honey Bunny. Needless to say, this is the most promising project of the Citadel universe. We are not talking about an Indian perspective but in general from a global perspective.
The Indian series is by Raj and DK who are the absolute kings of Indian OTT space.
It also stars Varun Dhawan and Samantha who happen to be one of the most popular actors in the country.
But how’s the trailer?
It has only one fatal flaw. Varun Dhawan. Right in the beginning of the trailer his voice fails to give the kind of intensity a Citadel agent demands. But, the overall trailer is just brilliant.
Samantha is on point as always and the action?
Boy O boy, it is killer. The usage of Aaj Ki Raat from Don just intensifies the trailer to multiple folds. The mystery surrounding Kay Kay Menon is also intriguing.
Overall the trailer is not only nice but it is leaps and bounds better than Citadel and Citadel: Diana.
A cameo by Priyanka Chopra would be something amazing for the Indian audiences.
Anyways, Citadel Honey Bunny is getting released on the 7th of November. The scale looks pretty grand. Let’s see how the actual series comes out to be.
