Finally, Citadel: Honey Bunny has been released. Needless to say, the series is one of the biggest ventures in the short history of Indian OTT. It is a part of the global Citadel franchise and perhaps that’s the reason Prime Video made this entire show with such high scale.
So, the time for all the pre-release talks is gone. All six episodes of the show are now streaming on Prime Video. So, what’s the prospect?
Well, you must be aware of the fact that the series has been made not just for India but the global audience. Since it is a part of the global project by Russo Brothers, definitely there will be Hollywood media talking about it. More importantly, we hope that there will be a lot of views from the American and European market put together.
So, is the series ready for all that?
Well, sort of.
The series is available to stream in 19 different languages (including all the Indian languages). So even if we set aside the Indian viewership then there will be a lot of interest from the European, Chinese, Japanese etc audiences.
Other shows in the past have also done it as it is not something groundbreaking. But, none of them had the potential of a global viewership as much as that of Citadel: Honey Bunny. So let’s see what happens.
