Disney+ Hotstar has dropped the trailer for its upcoming special series ‘Power Of Paanch’ and it feels like a cringy daily soap from Indian television. Coming from Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms Ltd., ‘Power Of Paanch’ will premiere only in Disney+ Hotstar on 17th January, 2025.
The trailer shows the five elements of nature born during the creation of universe as sources of power embodied in four young individuals where Ranveer is Vayu (Air), Ali is Agni (Fire), Baggu is Jal (Water) and Jhanvi is Prithvi (Earth), while the individual with the fifth element is yet to be discovered.
On the other hand and in the center of it all is a young girl whose mother has hidden secrets from her. She eventually finds out about them and as predicted she is the fifth element and must reunite with the other four to fight the dark forces that have emerged.
‘Power of Paanch’ not only feels cringe but is too amateurish in terms of story, performances, plot line and more. The drama is over the top and the VFX is way too poor.
‘Power of Paanch’ is produced by Ekta R. Kapoor via her Balaji Telefilms Ltd. banner and stars Riva Arora, Aditya Raj Arora, Jaiveer Juneja, Bianca Arora, Yash Sehgal, Urvashi Dholakia, Barkha Bisht, Tanvi Gadkari, Anubhav Arora, Omar Kandhari, Sagar Dholakia, and Bhanik Sood. ‘Power of Paanch’ will premiere only on Disney+ Hotstar on 17th January, 2025.
