Somehow Pulp Fictions were a big hit on the OTT. The way they were making films somehow became very effective in short term entertainment value. Take the case of Monica O My Darling. It doesn’t have a shelf life, you watch it once and you are done.
You would never want to visit the film again but that one time watch would never be a bad decision either. So what’s the way out?
You see, at the heart of Pulp Fiction is the thrill. Yes, it has drama, sex, romance, gore but the driving force is always the thrill. So, if it is a good thriller like Jaane Jaan then people would wanna watch it again and again.
Do Patti look something like that. The movie is a thriller and at least the trailer was very well cut. Yes, the twin reveal could have been avoided but not every film needs to be The Prestige.
So, we can see a change in the way Kanika Dhillon and Netflix India’s dynamics are working. After the poor response to Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, this will be different and perhaps fresh.
So far everything looks good for Do Patti.
