A treasure hunt, a murder mystery, a love story, a tale of a mysterious cinema hall, and a thrilling comedy, Dus June Ki Raat: Chapter 1 promised a lot but failed to deliver.
The project seemed outstanding on paper but didn’t unfold as expected on screen. The show was better than expected- a good one-time watch, but not good enough to revisit. After the first few episodes, it was hard to find the humour and the pace of the plot lacked engagement. It is not that it doesn’t hold the attention of the audience, it just does a poor job in doing so. The comedic timing and pace of the show fell flat because of off-key dialogues and dull execution.
The audience had high hopes that the second part might redeem the first, but like many shows on the platform, it ultimately fell short of expectations.
The plot deviates so much that it becomes challenging for the audience to follow along. The poor character arcs generate disinterest in the characters and the plot seems dragged out.
The second season hints at a third part with unfinished plotlines, but after the mixed reception of the first two, audiences aren’t feeling particularly optimistic about what’s to come.
