In a major move for the streaming landscape, Hrithik Roshan’s production house, HRX Films, has officially announced its second collaboration with Prime Video India, a dark comedy feature titled ‘Mess.’
This announcement comes hot on the heels of their first joint venture, the high-stakes thriller series Storm, signalling a robust, multi-genre partnership between the superstar and the streaming giant.
Directed by Rajesh A. Krishnan, the creative mind behind the critically acclaimed Lootcase and the recent heist-hit Crew, Mess promises a refreshingly chaotic premise.
The story follows a motley group of robbers who think they’ve found an easy target in the family home of a lone man. However, their plans quickly spiral out of control when they discover the homeowner has severe Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
What was meant to be a simple heist turns into a night-long standoff where the intruders find themselves fighting for survival against a man whose meticulousness is as dangerous as it is hilarious.
Paul Soter will take care of the screenplay, whereas Kapil Sawant has been chosen to work on the project’s dialogues. Hrithik Roshan and Eshaan Roshan (HRX Films) are producing it, in association with Soda Films Lab.
For Hrithik Roshan, Mess is a strategic step in his evolution as a producer. “Storm marked the start of something special with Prime Video, and Mess feels like a natural next step for us,” the actor-producer stated. “Rajesh [Krishnan] brings a distinctive voice… with a rare ability to blend comedy with compelling narratives.”
Production for Mess is expected to begin shortly. While the cast remains under wraps, the combination of Krishnan’s direction, Soter’s quirky writing style, and the backing of one of India’s biggest stars makes Mess one of the most anticipated original films in Prime Video’s 2026-27 slate.
