Colourrs of Love, a romantic drama will be released on 4th October digitally on Zee 5. The film is said to be about themes like love, hate and depression. The show stars Bhakti Kubavat, Smaran Sahu, Pawan Chopra, and Deepika Amin in crucial roles. It will be a drama that dwells into relationships and their different aspects.
The plot of the show is quite cliché. It follows the life of a sex therapist who is just recovering from a break up and looking sad, his mother thinks of sending her to a psychologist. The mother wants him to move on which he is not ready for. Finally he meets a girl whom he starts to like. The girl finds her job weird as he tries finding problems in an act that people find pleasurable. The plot goes on to reveal the inner self of the guy and shows how he himself needs therapy.
The plot of the film is very basic and the characters are way clichéd. In the current scenario, when we are getting films that delve deep into the psychology of people in love, films that talk of love between different shades of characters, when the makers are establishing iconoclastic films that show love between people of different caste, background and even delve on the topic of homosexuality; this film is something that offers a very generalized perspective on love and relationships.
We have appreciated some experimental romances like Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, Shubh Mangal Jyada Savdhan, Tamasha, Laila Majnu etc. In the midst of such greats people won’t find something so general like Colourrs Of Love interesting. Although the film, through its title and description, promises a lot. Still the trailer fails to stand by the promise.
Hence, when we already have some unique and quality romance films lined up currently, we cannot expect Colourrs of Love, being a very general film, to be able to stand among them.
