Akshay Kumar has been on a roll on OTT platforms as his recent box office flops such as Sarfira and Khel Khel Mein looked good initially after their digital release. His reputation is undoubtedly at risk due to a string of recent box office failures, as people are no longer going to see his films as frequently as they once did.
The majority of his recent movies were deemed intolerable by reviewers, which resulted in their box office failure, even though some of his films are truly brilliant and have an engaging plot. His comedy-drama Khel Khel Mein appealed to a lot of viewers after its digital release on Netflix. Almost three weeks after its OTT release, the film appears to have loosened its grip on the viewers.
Akshay and Vaani Kapoor starrer film headlined Netflix’s Top 10 list with the top spot since its release on 10th October. In addition to that, the film garnered 4 Million views along with 8.7 Million hours of watch time in just four days after its digital release.
However, with time, it seems that the film isn’t holding it strong when it comes to the top spot. In its third week of digital release, the film dropped several spots and is ranked in 9th position currently. With 1.2 Million views in its third week, the film had 2.9 Million hours of watchtime.
By the looks of it, Akshay’s multi-starrer comedy ride is set to be crashed in its fourth week. It is also expected that the film wouldn’t be in the top 10 list in the upcoming week. As for Akshay, he aims to do better at the box office with his newest and upcoming appearance in Singham Again which is set to light up during Diwali at the Box Office.
