Mismatched Season 3 was released very recently this month. The series has been running since 2020 and is a sensation among the urban youth in India. They love the pairing of Prajakta Koli and Rohit Saraf looks cute and that is perhaps the single most powerful reason behind such a good reception of Mismatched.
Anyway, the series is doing wonders. Normally, Netflix India series is not very popular. The films on the platform are always present among the weekly list of most watched titles but series are rare. One needs a very high budget, high buzz series to feature into the list and let’s be honest…it is not very feasible.
Yes, Heeramandi became a sensation but they can’t bring such stuff every month. More importantly, even the audience will get bored with the grandeur.
However, Mismatched Season 3 in its second week got featured in the list of most watched non-English series globally.
It was featured at the 9th spot and it is really good for a series with such a small budget and buzz (apparently).
Anyway, it looks like December is doing well for Netflix India in particular. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Lucky Bhaskar, Jigra, Mismatched Season 3 and now Squid Game Season 2 will keep the audiences coming back to Netflix India.
