It’s going to be Delhi Vs Mumbai in this new season of Netflix’s ‘Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives’ which has now changed to ‘Bollywood Wives Vs Fabulous Lives’. This little tweak in the title goes on to totally changes the meaning of it and probably that’s how Netflix is looking to get more engagement, because who’s gonna have more fabulous lives than Bollywood wives!
Well the editing in the name of the show is to accommodate new members into it and enhance the show’s theme. This time it’s going to be Delhi Vs Mumbai, as some of Delhi’s elite women enter the show. But will they add more drama to the show or result in a dud will be known as the show launches on Netflix next month.
The new faces you will see in Seaosn three of ‘Bollywood Wives Vs Fabulous Wives’ are Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Kalayani Saha Chawla and Shalini Passi.
As for Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, she is a known face and is the daughter of late Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor and the sister of Ranbir Kapoor. She is married Delhi based businessman Bharat Sahni and owns a jewellery brand.
Kalyani Saha Chawla is an entrepreneur and the owner of bespoke silverware label Rezon. She has also been the former VP marketing for DIOR. Her was married to Vishal Chawla.
Shalini Passi on the other hand is a Delhi based art and design collector, and philanthropist and is the wife of Sanjay Passi, chairman and MD of Pasco Group.
Not to forget, Maheep Kapoor, Bhavana Panday, Seema Kiran Sajdeh and Neelam Kothari Soni will be retuning to represent the Mumbai faction in ‘Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives’ season 3.
‘Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives’ has been on the receiving end of criticism for being cringe and superficial despite falling in the category of a reality show. The way the show features these women living a life of luxury and being petty about small matters does not go down well with most of the audience who find it quite fake.
The only thing that seems to work for the show and that makes Netflix bring it back season after seaosn is the aspirational factor where the Indian middle class who cannot afford such luxury is happy seeing it on screen and also the Bollywood gossip the show offers is another attractive feature.
