Prominent filmmaker Karan Johar, aka KJo, is expected to return as the host for the hit reality series.
The first season was filmed at a grand and luxurious palace in Suryagarh, Rajasthan. It features 20 celebrities from the entertainment industry engaging in what’s billed as “the ultimate game of trust and deception.”
However, it’s unclear whether the makers will use a different location for the second season.
The cast includes Ashish Vidyarthi, Anshula Kapoor, Harsh Gujral, Elnaaz Nourouzi, Jannat Zubair, Maheep Kapoor, Jasmin Bhasin, Lakshmi Manchu, Karan Kundra, Raj Kundra, Mukesh Chhabra, Raftaar, Uorfi Javed, Sudhanshu Pandey, and more.
Since its June 12 premiere, with new episodes every Thursday, The Traitors has quickly become an immense hit among Indian OTT viewers. According to Prime Video, it has reached audiences in nearly 90% of India’s postcodes and generated considerable online buzz, including fan reactions and theories.
In the show, some players are secretly designated as traitors at the start. The other contestants must then collaborate to expose these traitors before they themselves are eliminated.
