On the occasion of Anil Kapoor’s birthday today Video has unveiled an enthralling first look of his upcoming direct-to-digital release ‘Subedaar’. Helmed by ‘Tumhari Sulu’ and ‘Jalsa’ fame Suresh Triveni, ‘Subedaar’ will premiere soon only on Prime Video.
The announcement video launched today features Anil Kapoor as Subedaar Arjun Maurya dragging a chair in the middle of the hall of his home that is surrounded by people ready to attack him with guns, swords and more. They try to instigate him to come out but he sits still with a gun waiting for them to barge in.
The terror angle is added with consistent loud barking of dogs who are reacting to the chaos outside, meanwhile Anil Kapoor maintains his calm on the inside while looking all determined and furious.
‘Subedaar’ is described as an adrenaline fuelled action drama set in the Indian heartland that follows Subedaar Arjun Maurya (Anil Kapoor) as he grapples with the challenges of leading a civilian life, navigates a strained relationship with his daughter and confronts societal dysfunction. Once a soldier who fought for the nation, Subedaar must now battle enemies within to protect his home and family.
Directed by Suresh Triveni who has co-written the film with Prajwal Chandrashekar, ‘Subedaar’ stars Anil Kapoor and Radhika Madan in lead roles. Vikram Malhotra, Anil Kapoor and Triveni serve as producers for the film. An Opening Image Films and Anil Kapoor Film and Communication Network (AKFCN) Production, ‘Subedaar’ will premiere soon only on Prime Video.
