Netflix has officially announced the sequel to its crime thriller franchise Raat Akeli Hai, titled The Bansal Murders. The second installment reunites the original creative team, with Honey Trehan returning as director and Smita Singh reprising her role as writer.
The cast is set to be star-studded, featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte, along with new additions including Chitrangada Singh, Rajat Kapoor, Deepti Naval, Ila Arun, Revathy, Akhilendra Mishra, Priyanka Setia, and Sanjay Kapoor.
Set a few years after the well-received 2020 film, Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders, sees Inspector Jatil Yadav (Siddiqui) tackling a chilling new investigation into a cold-blooded murder. The case quickly forces him to confront the dark secrets of a powerful family and the difficult ethical line between revealing the truth and facing the consequences.

In a recent interview, the leading man revealed that he is thrilled to reprise his role as the “flawed and restless” Inspector Jatil Yadav in the movie. He described the character as “very close” to him and relentless in his pursuit of justice.
Marking its first public screening before release, the Netflix film is scheduled to have its highly anticipated world premiere at the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa this November.
