Some things can’t be liked even after a lot of effort. They can be outdated, not to our taste or simply bad. Sikandar Ka Muqaddar falls in that category. It is a very big challenge to like that movie in any aspect other than acting performances.
The movie led by Avinash Tiwari, Tamannaah Bhatia and Jimmy Shergill is a very badly written movie with a highly predictable and outdated plot.
But it looks like the marketing by Netflix India worked for a big time.
How can we say this?
Because of the views, the movie was the fourth most-watched non-English movie on Netflix globally. We still think that this streak will not continue for long and we will get to see a steep decline but looks like the first week worked for the platform.
Even if we look at the watch hours then it is very appreciable in number. The movie was watched for more than 7,600K hours which is a fairly good number for a movie as messed up as Sikandar Ka Muqaddar.
But, we strongly hold the opinion that Netflix India must address the scripts they approve because this attitude will continue to make them the host of some really bad films.
