Tere Ishq Mein is a romantic drama film starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles. Called the spiritual successor of Raanjhana, it did not match the music and madness that the 2013 film surprisingly achieved. Directed by Aanand L. Rai, the film tells a story about love and the struggle to heal from past wounds. It is not a typical love story. Instead, it focuses on intense feelings and the way relationships can change people in unexpected ways.
The story follows Shankar, a man who is deeply affected by his past. He meets Mukti, a kind and thoughtful psychology student who believes that people can heal through understanding and care. Their connection starts with hope and warmth, but slowly becomes complicated. As emotions grow stronger, both characters are forced to face their inner conflicts.
Dhanush gives a strong performance as a man caught between love and anger. Kriti Sanon brings softness and strength to her role, making Mukti feel real and relatable. Their on-screen chemistry adds depth to the film and keeps the audience emotionally involved.
The music by A R Rahman supports the story beautifully. The songs reflect the emotions of the characters and make the emotional moments more powerful.
After a successful theatrical run, Tere Ishq Mein is now confirmed to be streaming on Netflix from 23rd January 2026.
