The Roshans has finally been officially announced by Netflix India. You must be aware by the previous reports of Binged that Netflix has been developing a documentary on The Roshan family.
If you are even a little bit invested into Bollywood then you would know that Hrithik Roshan and Rakesh Roshan are not the only two members of the Roshan family.
Rajesh Roshan is a highly successful music composer who literally ruled the 80s and the 90s with his melodies. His popular songs were fiercely competing with the Burmans and that’s enough to guess.
In fact, his father, the first Roshan to make it into Bollywood was an even greater music composer who had his own great style. Countless songs like Rahe Na Rahe Hum, Jo Waada Kiya Wo Nibhana Padega, Sansaar Se Bhage Phirte Ho and more are all products of his genius.
Rakesh Roshan, a moderately successful actor of the 80s turned to direction and became highly successful in the 90s. In fact, he along with Yash Chopra were the first two directors who helped Shahrukh Khan establish in Bollywood.
That’s why Shahrukh Khan will also show up in a cameo in this documentary series.
Then came Hrithik Roshan whom we all know. The man created a history with his first film. Not only it is the greatest debut of any star but also one of the most successful films in the entire Bollywood.
It is also one of the highest award winning films in Bollywood and the streak continued from 2000 till 2019.
Since then Hrithik Roshan fumbled a little in the early 2000s due to bad choices but he never turned back after Koi Mil Gaya. He is easily one of the biggest superstars and finest actors in the country.
It will be interesting to see how honest the documentary series is. The attack on Rakesh Roshan and the whole Kangana Ranaut controversy deserves a place but let’s see what happens.
Also, Netflix India needs a better poster maker. The one they announced is really really bad.
The documentary will be released most probably on the 10th of January which is the birthday of Hrithik Roshan. Netflix hasn’t announced the date, but we strongly believe that it is the case.
A profound journey through legacy and love with the family that brought music, magic, and unforgettable moments to Hindi cinema 🎬
