There are few days left for the anticipated title ‘Mithua: The Dark Chapter’ to come to OTT. It is a Zee5 original and is premiering on the platform on the 1st day of November.
The show is a mystery thriller directed by Rohan Sippy and stars a handful of known faces. Huma Qureshi and Avantika Dassani are there in leading roles and there are other actors like Naveen Kasturia, Rajit Kapur, Indrani Sengupta etc in important roles.
But what to expect from the show? Will it be just another cliché thriller show or will it have something more than the usual? The trailer has built up an intrigue among audiences and they agree that the plot is somewhat unique. It tells the story of a Hindi literature professor who tells a student to come up with a research paper and when the student shows it to her, she is accused of plagiarism. The student plans on to take revenge on the teacher.
From the cast list we can easily say that the performances will be strong. Naveen Kasturia has already impressed audiences with his performances in Aspirants and Breathe: Into The Shadows. Also the OG Byomkesh Rajit Kapoor is here and Huma Qureshi is promising as always.
Zee5 has a very good track record with its originals and very recently statistics have shown that the platform is doing really well with its family friendly content. ‘Mithya’ will have a goodwill and with the hype that it has already created, it might be a very big show as well.
