Netflix has launched the motion poster for its upcoming original film from YRF Entertainment and this one’s a quirky, slice-of-life drama about a man who decides to compete in a triathlon at the age of 69. Helmed by Akshay Roy, ‘Vijay 69’ is set to launch globally only on Netflix on 8th November, 2024.
In the motion poster unveiled today one can see Anupam Kher cycling in a triathlon alongside other athletes with his headphones and helmet on. He is focused and determined and is absolutely not ready to let go or accept defeat.
‘Vijay 69’ is described as a film that will tug your hearts and is about the purity of emotion that a sexagenarian feels within himself when he sets forth to achieve his impossible dream and, therefore, makes a bid to defy all odds.
Starring Anupama Kher in the titular role, ‘Vijay 69’ is directed by Akshay Roy and produced by Maneesh Sharma for YRF Entertainment. The film also stars Chunky Panday and Mihir Ahuja.
YRF Entertainment has previously produced works like ‘The Romantics’, ‘The Railway Men’ and ‘Maharaj’, for Netflix and all of them were pretty successful in statistical terms. ‘Vijay 69’ will start streaming on Netflix from 8th November, 2024.
